Almost ready!!
The course is almost ready! The top picture shows the first zip (with a board in place for security when the course is not being used). The other pictures give a feel of the course layout and platforms. We have realized how hard it is to capture the course under construction. Soon we will have training for our staff and provide some great pictures of the course in use - and some video too!

Day Four - platforms
The work today included beginning to build the platforms and add the zip lines! We can now see how the course goes from tree to tree through the woods. As we stand on the silent bridge, we can get a view of many of the zip lines.
The platforms in the picture above are for a short bridge at the beginning of the course. Each tree will have a platform like this as you travel from tree to tree. You can see where the builder is working where the platform will located on that tree! The excitement builds...

A narrative tour...
The canopy tour will begin on the ridge to the left of the dam (if you are standing on the dam facing the mountains). The first zip will begin at ground level - with a short zip to the first tree - 10-12' off the ground. After walking a short bridge, another short zip will take you to the back of the beaver dams. From this point on, you will be 30-40' off the ground! The next zip (longer now) will take you across the beaver dams to the other side of the lake. After a couple more zips, the final ride will go across the lake, back to the area where the ride started - 7 rides total! As construction continues, the pictures will better tell the story! Keep checking back - this is an exciting addition to Asbury Hills!!
